CAT 299D Heavy-Duty Rubber Tracks | 450x86x60
Heavy-duty 450x86x60 replacement rubber tracks for the CAT 299D Compact Track Loader, built for dependable traction, flotation, stability, and productive ground contact across demanding construction and earthmoving conditions. Repeated pushing, grading, loading, turning, and travel place continuous load through the track and undercarriage.
450 mm Footprint & Ground Performance
The 450 mm (18") footprint provides broad ground contact for stable travel and useful flotation on soft or loose surfaces. On hardpack, gravel, clay, dirt, and mixed jobsites, tread geometry becomes the primary application choice for balancing traction, cleanout, ride quality, and wear.
Choose the Tread for the Work
-
C-Block: Broad offset blocks provide stable ground contact, dependable all-around traction, and strong wear performance across dirt, gravel, hardpack, rock, concrete, and general construction.
-
Multi-Bar: Closely spaced cross-ground bars maintain frequent contact for smooth travel, consistent traction, and reduced vibration across dirt, sand, packed ground, wet conditions, and hard flat surfaces.
-
Zig-Zag: Angled, stepped lugs create multiple biting edges while open channels promote cleanout in mud, wet clay, snow, loose soil, and sloped terrain.
-
Staggered Block: Alternating blocks balance traction, machine stability, and ride quality across mixed dirt, gravel, and hardpack.
-
X-Terrain: Open, aggressive lug geometry prioritizes ground engagement and cleanout in loose, uneven, and severe off-road conditions.
-
Z-Max: High-bite lug geometry is built for demanding off-road applications where pushing performance and control under load matter most.
-
All-Terrain: A versatile mixed-surface pattern balancing traction, stability, ride quality, and wear across changing jobsite conditions.
Heavy-Duty Track Construction
Advanced abrasion-resistant rubber, a continuous steel-cord core, and drop-forged, heat-treated steel links provide the strength required for repeated drive torque, turning, loading, grading, and travel. The heavy-duty build uses approximately 30% more rubber than standard-duty replacements, adding wear material through high-stress areas while reinforced internal construction helps maintain dependable sprocket engagement and resist stretching, cuts, tearing, chunking, and premature abrasion.
Undercarriage & Track Life
Track life depends on the complete undercarriage. Inspect sprockets, rollers, idlers, alignment, and track tension before installation. Worn mating components, debris packing, or incorrect tension can accelerate wear and reduce service life. Set final track tension to the machine manufacturer's service specification after installation.
