Fitment note: The T140 uses a different 84 mm pitch / 46-link track family than the later 86 mm pitch Bobcat CTLs. Do not substitute by width alone.
What should you replace with new tracks?
Replace by actual wear and Bobcat service limits. Hooked sprocket teeth, leaking or seized rollers, loose idlers and a tensioner that cannot maintain the specified track tension can all shorten new-track life.
Use symptoms to find the bad component
- Ratcheting / skipping: tension, sprocket profile, drive-lug engagement
- De-tracking: tension, idlers, roller alignment, guides and frame contact
- Uneven wear: seized rollers, idler alignment and frame geometry
- Drive-lug tearing: sprocket engagement, wrong pitch/guide or tension
