The Mustang 2105 runs a 450x86x63 track: 450 mm across the tread, 86 mm between links, 63 links around. Cut for grading, loading, pallet work and land clearing and shipped free to the lower 48.
What the numbers mean on a Mustang 2105
450x86x63 — 450 mm tread width (about 18"), 86 mm pitch, 63 links
Width is the tread face, pitch is the distance between drive lugs, and links is the count around the loop. All three have to match — a track one link off will not tension correctly no matter how close the width is.
Tread choice for the Mustang 2105
Size gets the track on the machine; tread decides how it works and how long it lasts. What we stock for this one:
C-Block — concrete, asphalt and hard-packed ground. Longest wear life and the least vibration on hard surfaces
Multi-Bar — mud, snow and soft ground. Deep bar lugs bite and shed material instead of packing up
Z-Max — soft and slippery ground. An aggressive zig-zag with more bite
Zig-Zag — general mixed ground. Balanced traction with a smoother ride than a bar tread
If the machine splits its time between surfaces, buy for the ground you are on most — a hard-surface tread on constant mud will spin, and a bar tread on concrete will wear out in half the hours.
Undercarriage parts for the Mustang 2105
Rollers, idlers and sprockets wear on the same clock as the track. Fitting new rubber over a hooked sprocket or a seized roller is the fastest way to lose the new track — check these while the tracks are off:
CTLs run high ground speed and counter-rotate all day, which is what eats edge lugs and drive lugs first. Replace in pairs where you can: a new track running against a stretched one loads the drive unevenly and you will feel it in the steering.
